As standard the Farr 56 is supplied with a Selden rig, a batten car system and fully battened mainsail in addition to a furling headsail. The rig has a detachable cutter stay which stows neatly aft when not in use and takes a small staysail when the going gets tough. There is a Navtec manual hydraulic package fitted that controls the vang and backstay from the cockpit. This simple rig is very easy to use, trouble free and provides a bristling performance.

Many other options are available and rig packages can include a fully automated sail handling system with a hydraulic In-mast and headsail-furling rig. This, together with powered winches gives you complete push button control from the safety of the cockpit. For those who require that little bit of extra performance a carbon mast or one of the new generation of In boom furling systems is available.
